Alright, which level form Mario 64 is your favorite? Mine is probably Cool Cool Mountain, although Tall Tall Mountain and Whomp's Fortress are no slouch themselves.

I'm the best Mario 64 player on the planet, and I can say that leathal lava land is the most fun course. You aren't at my level in this game until you've gotten ALL the 1 ups (7 or so) and 100 coins WITHOUT LOSING THE SHELL OR ENTERING THE VOLCANO.

I also really liked Hazy Maze Cave, although it is a pain in the butt.

Not using the shell? Wow, that's pretty beastly. How the heck do you pull that off? I mean I guess if you kill all the bullies and get all their coins that should add up but some of those arches with coins are near impossible to reach without the shell. And especially the ones with extra lives.

No no no, you misunderstood me.

As soon as you enter the level, grab the shell. Do not get a single coin before getting on the shell.

Once you are on it, go through the entire level and get 100 coins WITHOUT losing the shell. It is very hard and I believe there are only about 104 coins outside of the volcano. You touched on the hardest part: getting the coins from the bullies. Sometimes the coins hit walls when they're supposed to come back on land. It is a very difficult task, but it CAN be done.

Ah, ok, yea now I get what you mean. And yea, I've sometimes gotten 100 coins before going into the volcano but as you said, it can be very tough. The coins from the bullies will sometimes just jump up, but over the lava, so you can't get them. And just killing the bullies on the shell can be tough itself. But other than that, it isn't very hard. Getting the coins on the moving puzzle can be a little hard too since once Bowser forms in perfect order the coins go sort of all over the place.

At the end of the day, there are at least 15 coins easy to reach in the volcano anyway, so I don't try hard very often to get them all oustide, but yea, it's pretty nice if you want bragging rights to get 100 pre-volcano

You might know about this one, but there's three ways to get the floating caged star in Course 2. Do you know all three?

Hmm, there's using the owl, and jumping in from the green hovering platform (which I've only seen done, I've never done it). But I'm stumped on the third way

I've never seen or tried getting via the green platform. That wasn't one of my methods but if you've seen it that makes four.

One is kind of obvious, but hard. You have to make a very precise shot from the cannon into the cage.

The other method is getting to where star #2 is (top of the orange tower), and long jumping into the cage. The key here is to get a good camera angle. If you line it up you should be able to get it.

The cannon doesn't seem too hard if you practice enough, but pulling off the long jump? I feel like it'd be really hard to get the right angle. So did you actually do that, or were you just referring to the methods?
